Special Edition Post - RunDisney Star Wars Weekend - April 5, 2019

This weekend is the weekend of the Star Wars Dark Side RunDisney runs. We have done these runs in the past so I thought I'd share some information about them. I hope everyone doing the run today (shout out to Abby and her boys) had a great time even though it was raining this morning.  Disney World has 4 different run events each year plus two Virtual run events each year. At this time the Disneyland run events are on hold while there is a lot of construction at Disneyland with the new Star Wars Land being built there. We...

Bongos Cuban Cafe - Disney Springs - Review April 4, 2019

*UPDATE* The Orlando Sentinel has reported that Bongo's Cuban Cafe at Disney Springs will be closing in August of 2019. I'm so sad to hear this as it's is one of our favorite places. But if you wanted to go please do so before August of this year. ---------------------------- Today we are going to review Bongos we were just here last Sunday again. A great cuban restaurant located at Disney Springs West Side. A little history on this restaurant is that it is owned by Gloria Estefan and her family. But typically we have one of each item when we pass by here. Everything on the menu is awesome. The only reason we didn't eat from here on this day was because we were trying to have items that were new to...

Flower and Garden Food at EPCOT Review - April 2, 2019 (multiple post part 2)

This is part two of the Flower and Garden Food Review for 2019. There are a few of the huts that we didn't eat at because either we didn't see anything new or the line was just too long. The Citrus Blossom hut was one that the line was too long. You see they were selling this cute little Orange Bird Drink cup and the line was about 100 people deep and this was when the other lines only had 4 or 5 people in them. So if you want any of the food from this location be prepared to stand...

Flower and Garden Food at EPCOT Review - April 1, 2019 (multiple post part 1)

On Saturday we decided to check out the food at the Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT. A little bit of information about me is that in the early 1980s I was employed by an engineering firm as their draftsperson. One of the jobs I worked on was spending 16 weeks in a trailer at an offsite where there was a steel fabrication plant. Myself (to document where the welds were located and their readings), an engineer from the engineering firm (to take the readings) and an imagineer from Disney (just to oversee) were there to inspect the welds as the...
