Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream - Disney Springs - Walt Disney World - June 5, 2019

Posted by F S on

Today's post is short and sweet, pun intended. We recently visited the Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream kiosk at Disney Springs West Side. This location use to be in the larger building, but moved to a stand alone kiosk just a little bit east of the old location. We actually had to get out our My Disney App to find it as it's pretty well hidden now but near the YeSake, Jeoffrey's and Wetzel's Pretzels Kiosks now. It's pretty easy to see if you are coming from the parking lot, but if you are coming from the bridge from the other side it's pretty hidden.

Here was the list of Ice Cream flavors available.

And the list of Specialty items was in the window.

We opted to share the Banana Split Sundae. It included vanilla ice cream (we would have liked to see it with the traditional three flavors, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, but weren't given the option to choose flavors so we aren't sure if that's something they will do or if it's always all vanilla) layered with pineapple topping, strawberry topping, hot fudge and banana slices topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

This sundae was a nice traditional ice cream sundae. There wasn't anything remarkable to write about it. Hubby wished it had come in a boat though like a traditional banana split.

There are a few tables in that location for the 4 kiosks. They do have umbrellas to keep you out of the sun. But on this day it was very windy so it was difficult to keep the napkins from either blowing away or getting stuck in the ice cream when we placed them under the cup. They kept blowing up onto the cup and ice cream.

I'm not sure what I expected. But I wasn't unhappy with it. I just feel that there are other places within walking distance that might give a better experience for ice cream. I hate to say that but competition in the ice cream department at Disney Springs has been amped up with several other ice cream locations.
